  • Wind in The Willows

    The Image Music Theatre Group put on a fabulous performance of Wind in The Willows.  Everyone really enjoyed it and thank you to those pupils who took part.

  • New addition to 6F

    Pupils in class 6F welcomed 'SNAKEY' as a new arrival to their class today.  He is a very friendly corn snake who is coming to stay for a while.  Pupils will learn all about him over the coming weeks.

  • Christmas Jumper Day

    Pupils and staff sing along together for the end of term assembly.  There was a fabulous selection of colours and sparkles on show for christmas jumper day too.

  • Christmas Lunch at Wybers

    Pupils and staff enjoyed a festive lunch at wybers today.  Thank you to the catering staff for preparing such a delicious christmas dinner!

  • Mission Launch!!

    Wybers Wood is one of only 500 schools who have signed up for the Principia Mission Space Diary which runs for 6 months.  This fits in with Y1 & Y5's curriculum themes and helps to create a memory of the Principia mission that can be kept forever.

    Pupils from Y1 & Y5 watched the mission launch live on telly.  It was so exciting!

  • Miss Colling Leaving

    Early Years said goodbye to Miss Colling today.  She has been covering on maternity leave.  All the pupils and staff would like to wish Miss Colling all the best for the future.

  • WWA Christmas Fair

    The Mayor of Grimsby kindly attended our Christmas Fair and officially opened our refurbished key stage 2 Hall today.  There was lots of fun, games, craft stalls, raffles, Father Christmas and refreshments.  The event raised and amazing £1000.57!  This will be spent on something special for the school following consultation with pupils through School Council.  Thank you to everyone who helped organise the event and thank you to those who attended our Christmas Fair and made it such a super occasion. 

      

  • Christmas At Wybers!

    'It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas'.  Thank you to all our pupils, staff and Grandparents (during Art Attack) who have made this year's christmas decorations.  Our Academy looks amazing and ready for the festive season!

  • 3R get a letter from Santa!

    3R received a letter and some gifts from Santa.   They have named the elves Holly and Max.  The reindeer is called Jingle.  We hope that they behave themselves!

  • Mrs Gamble retiring!

    30th November 2015

    Pupils and staff presented Mrs Gamble with flowers, gifts and cards to celebrate her retiring as our Senior Midday Supervisor.  Mrs Gamble has been at Wybers Wood for an incredible 26 years!  Luckily we will still her on occasions as she has agreed to be a Midday Supervisor on a casual basis.

  • ART ATTACK!!

    Grandparents visited Wybers today to take part in Art Attack.  There was lots of cutting, sticking, painting and glittering!  It was fabulous fun for everyone and thank you very much to everyone who attended.  Look out in December for the amazing christmas decorations that have been created together today.

  • PGL Trip to France

    The academy have been trying to secure an improved offer from PGL if we cancel, rather than the initial offer to either lose £110 or use it to visit Caythorpe. To date we have had no success. The only additional offer we have received, as yet, is to travel to a different centre in France which we did not feel would be acceptable to parents; parents at the meeting confirmed this. We have not yet cancelled with PGL as, not only do we want to try and secure the best possible offer for parents, we are also hopi

  • School Council visit The Mayor of Grimsby

    School Councillors enjoyed a very special visit the Town Hall in Grimsby today to meet The Mayor, Cliff Barber! They were shown the Mayor's Parlour, Council Chambers and visited the Time Trap Museum to learn lots of interesting facts about local history.

  • Remembrance Assembly

    Pupils attended a remembrance assembly today.  They read poems and held a minutes silence at 11am to remember all the brave people who have died in wars.

  • Y4 visit to Royal Armouries

    10th November 2015

    On Armistice Day our year four classes took a trip the the Royal Armouries Museum in Leeds. The children took part in the Remembrance service and their behaviour was impeccable! Throughout the day members of staff and members of the public commented on how well behaved and respectful our children were throughout the service. The children took full advantage of the opportunity to explore the different galleries and learnt a huge amount from all of the exhibitions, which displayed armour, weapons and traditio

  • EYFS Fairy Garden

    EYFS have had a Fairy garden make over in a small area of the playground.  The children are loving making up fairy stories with the small world play items.
