On Monday 22nd May, 8 Year 6 pupils travelled to Christ Church College at Oxford University to take part it in the Debate Mate national final. The team narrowly lost their first debate but won their second one. They worked so well together as a team though and talked so confidently – it was amazing to watch them. The final on the day was a fiercely contested battle between two schools from London but was again, a joy to watch. It was a very long day and the children didn’t get back to school until nearly 10pm but Mrs Rouse could not have been any prouder of them.
